Paintball Mayhem

yeah, went to play paintball today. had to wake up at 6am in the morning.. (havent been waking up so early since a long time ago). The place to play paintball was near the border of New South Wales and Victoria. I didnt know that it was illegal to play paintball in Victoria until Ronny told me about it. This is my first time playin it, so i just hope i dun get owned badly.

Went to Caulfield where i met Raymond and gang (Mel, Eunice, Ronny, Tiffany, Jojo, and a few more people who i do not know). They were either from OCF (Raymond's Christian club) or join through other people. This trip was actually organised by Clayton. So we headed to Clayton to meet up with the larger group, there were about 90+ people. This is going to be a massive paintball war.

Everyone was not very enthusiatic at the start of it, cos (1) it was going to be a long bus ride in order to get there, (2) it was 7am in the morning, nobody wakes that early and (3) nobody has had breakfast yet. So it was a 1 and 1/2 hrs ride till we reach our 1st checkpoint and the driver stop at some pathetic place where there wasnt any food. Nevertheless, i bought a not-so-nice hotdog bun just to fill my stomach and have some energy for paintball later. there were alot of beautiful sceneries on the way there (wish someone was there with me to enjoy it..)

This picture was taken on the bus..they have like stalls selling loads of stuffs. Didnt get down, it was just a pass-by.
We were on a bridge when i took this picture. According to the driver, this river was famous in the past. People take the boat to a casino. Now, i tink its just meant for tourism purposes.
Finally reach our destination. and the weather is HOT.
We had to dress up like army to play paintball. Too bad i didnt have the chance to take any photos because we had to rush it - there wasn't enough time and we actually reached the places late. Anyway, everyone looked v funny in it cos most of them are over-sized.

So the the briefing started and everyone had to wear a mask (which, by the way, STINKS!). First round was just basically attack and defence. we were spilt into 2 groups by the ref. the attackers are meant to penetrate the defences and reach and touch the fort. I didnt get shot directly in this round and i actually manage to reach the fort with just a few splashes of paint which got onto me when it hit the ground or tree. I wasted 100 round of fire in the first round which i regretted.

In the second round, it was a flag game. again, we were divided into 2 groups again. and there was a towel put in the middle of the areana. and teams have to bring their flag across to the enemies base in order to win. This round was extremely intense. our team got owned pretty badly and i got shot twice on my inner thighs (lucky it wasn't that accurate to aim for the middle). and this is the result:
Right inner thigh. this one hurts like a bitch!
Left inner thigh. yeah, u might notice i have hairy legs. this one didnt hurt that much. I guess the right inner thigh hurts more because people were using ammo on the ground which we're not supposed to. Those were left behind by people previously. and the plastic casing which contains the paint is quite soft if it is 'fresh'. if it is exposed to the air for too long, it hardens.
Thats the size of the balls.. Anyway, those two bruises i got on my thighs, it didnt burst so i guess those balls that hit me were those that people picked it up from the ground. it hurts. Ronny got hit once on the head and it actually bounces off and it hurts. Tiffany got hit pretty badly. i guess it was 3 times on the head. and she's got a headache.

After the second round, we moved on to the last and final round. This is a complete utter madness of shoot-out. It was free-for-all. we shoot anyone, anytime, anywhere (within the areana). There's no out if u get shot. so when it started impromptu-ly, everyone just ran in every direction. and we started forming alliances. there was this guy, who was half squating in the middle of the areana didnt notice that there were about 20 to 30 people behind him. and i said, 'hey, there's a guy there, wanna shoot him?' and then i heard raymond said, 'yeah yeah, want not?' and i heard alot of 'ok'-s.. so i counted to three and we all fired at him! LOL! i guess he probably take about 15 to 20 shots direct. It must have hurt alot. poor guy.

It was time to get home, and everyone just realised that we havent had anything to eat. And we found out that we got cheated on our lunch. the people who were responsible for our lunch (not from our sch, it's outside people) said we didnt arrive on time, and they're not going to cook it for us. The organiser was pretty pissed off and said 'if ure not going to cook it, can we cook for ourselves?' even the bus driver was angry at them and offered to cook too! In the end, we didnt get our lunch and had to settle for macs on the way back.

Got back to Caulfield and Victor offered to give me and Ronny a lift as it was on the way. I guess the three of us were hungry and i just suggested to go for a quick dinner and head home. and they were both ok about it. we went to Nando's at Glenferrie road which is very near my place. the chicken i ordered was over-salted! it tasted quite bad but who cares when ure hungry..

Finally, got home, showered and did my laundry. hope the next time i go, i'll go with my baby. it'll be even more fun if she was there with me today...
